when i first start my bronco up it lurches forward a bit. i was told this is an indication of transmission problems and possible failure in the future.
i also have a problem where the truck is somtimes hard to shift out of park.i dont know if this part of the problem or a problem of its own.
i also notice bubbles in the fluid. the fluid itself looks good and is not burnt.its a nice red color.i posted about the bubbles ahile back and got alot of different answers and asked some local shops around here and got the same.so i havent done nothing about em.i would have the tranny flushed but i have been told that could cause the tranny to fail initself. i really dont know what to do.your oppinions would greatly help.
If your tranny failes after a flush, then it was on its way out anyways. I agree with Kem, inspect all your linkage while someone shifts through the gears.
Twisted, I have a 96 with E4OD and get a small lurch forward when I start only in cold weather. I was told its just the thickened tranny oil from the cold weather in the torq converter. It doesnt do it when its mild to warm however so it seems reasonable. The truck just seems to bump gently foward.
