98 explorer tranny problems
I have a 1998 Ford Explorer Sport 4x4, had it for 2 days and 1st gear is gone. The only way I can get it started to move is by putting it into 2 and then shifting to drive. It won't do anything but rev as if it were in neutral when you place it in Drive or 1. Any ideas what could be wrong with it? I am taking it to my mechanic and back to the dealer tomorrow and see what can be done about it, but the more knowledge I can get about this, the better. Thanks ya'll.
