Frame Mount Question

Frame Mount Question
I have a 79 F-150 4x4, it had an 300 I6 in it, that had seen better days, and i have a fresh 390 to drop in, the one guy i talked to told me that if i put the right frame pillar on the left and the left frame pillar on the right, from the I6 it would work for the 390, has anyone ever done this before? i would like to know, cause its almost winter and i need a vehicle, and all i am waiting on is these frame mounts, so any help is appreciated

Frame Mount Question
I can't see it. I did an I6 to a 351W, granted different engines but both V8's. The I6 engine pillars so did not work. I6 is narrow. I would think the 390 is evem wider than the 351W.

Frame Mount Question
well i got the frame mounts for the 390, and i examined the I6 frame mounts, and they both looked the same, even the vent tube from the front diff was in the same spot on the drives side,
well, sometimes ya just gota learn the hard way, cause if i knew this i could have had my motor in before the snow fell, lol
