what axle
i am looking at buying yet another old ford...
i am trying to figure out what axle is in the front...
i cant go by year of the body cause the last owner custom fabbed some stuff... like super cab and a short box on a truck that had a regular cab and a long box so the frame is kina hacked up... but i am buying it for the 3/4 ton drive train... this also has the bendix type steering setup on the front. an 4 spd, dont know wich one, it has the divorced NP205 t case, and i know its a dana 60 rear. i just need to know what the front is. any help is apreciated

Well what I'd do is to get my wire brush out and attack the axle tube next to the center section and clean them up there should be some #'s on it also on the center section it's self there was usually a id casting on it but first check and see if the tag is on the front cover it will tel you for certain. al
