On my recently acquired F250 (75 crew cab) there was no windshield washing squirt nozzles, fluid container, nor motor. They had (for some odd reason) been removed.
Also, there is no intermittant wiper...
My question is- Can I get a new windshield wiper switch that will fit in the OEM switch position that has the intermittant wiper function and the squirter function, so I can just add a motor and fluid system and have squirters and intermittant? If so, are there new ones available (not just a junkyard?). Thanks,
Brian
[updated:LAST EDITED ON 10-Jan-03 AT 01:51 PM (EST)]You will probably need to go to the junkyard for the squirters and to see how things are hooked up. There is a few catalogs you can get but I cant say what they are because they will get deleted by the moderators. If you want to know what they are e mail me. These catalogs will have switches, resevoirs, and pumps. Go to the auto parts store to get some tubing and a hose "T" one that looks like this _/_ or has 3 ends on it. Use a 1/4" or simalar thicknes hose for the main line to the T then use smaller hose off the T to the squirters. Oh yeah and the online ford trucks catalog might have some of this stuff too.
I have done my intermittent wipers. everything installed. I had to change the wiper motor acc the old motor wouldn't park. I had a hard time getting the key that holds the wiper arms on to come off. I have bent it badly now it won't stay on. I didn't know I was so strong I was just using my left hand. Is there a special trick tool something to this spring steel key? I don't want to mess the new one up. Thanks for helping.
ps new bords look and work good can hardly wait for everything to be working again
