yes. it is called xanga. i have seen that is more for the "younger" group (IE 13-18 year olds, but i have seen an eleven year old with an account and a 45 year old with an account (not that he's old )
your site is called a "blog" (wierd names, eh?) and you can join "blogrings", which are groups of people who share interests like you. i am a member of "i love big ford trucks" "powerstoke diesels rule", "class of 2007", "FSK highschool (mine) and just for kicks " i'm hot, youre hot, lets make out" muahaha.

It's a write-up on the whole myspace thing, so basically don't put stuff out there you don't want to be known about. You really should read that, pretty informative.
My daughter set me up. I havent got pics updated yet but she is on there and has like a half million friends on her site. Sheesh how does one keep up?
