Don't buy from an auto parts store! If you actually use your 4x4 rig for dirt and stuff those ubolts will break. Go to a spring fabrication shop. They should sell some nice fat ones! I am using 5/8 Grade8. The plates can be had at a salvage yard. Don't try to make your own. Too much time and they bend.

If you are going to a junk yard for the plates you need, you may want to
look at some of the U-bolts that are on the trucks that have a double stack
of leafs they may be long enough for your blocks.
