Just did a self test on codes but not sure what code means after translating it..Light flashed twice, pause, light flashed once, pause, repeated twice and stopped. If I translated right and checked KOER chart it says "ECT out of self test range 0.3 to 3.7 volts". Meaning?
The MAP sensor it either not working, or you have a vacuum leak.. Also are you sure you're reading the right flashes? There will be a series of flashes (3 for a 6 cyl, 4 for an 8 cyl, and 5 for the diesel, then a single "goose" flash which tells you to floor it, mash the brake, turn the wheel, and then hit the OD button. If you do all this then it will spit out trouble codes.
Just tested again and getting a series of 2 flashhes and then a pause and two more, pause and so on. after long pause a series of single flashes with a short pause in between, then stops. My truck is an 8 cyl. I am only using the KOEO as truck won't run long enough to get KOER.
It doesn't sound like there is a problem in the way you are running the test. I assume you ground the STI wire, and turned the key on and it's shooting codes at you, which means you're in the KOEO test. It just sounds like you're unfamiliar with the way they're suppose to flash.
Fordfuelinjection.com has a good explanation of how the flashes occur. Check that site out.
Yes ,I am unfamiliar. My first time." Ford Virgin Here".lol But,I am following step by step instructions from fordfuelinjection. As I said earlier, when the test begins, CE light flashes 2ce,short pause,2ce more, short pause, and goes for 4 cycles then a long pause, About 10 seconds then fashes 1ce,pause,again 1ce and so on cycling 5 times and test stops.I probably am reading wrong but still trying and not going to quit till I get it right. You guys are all giving me good info. Many thanks
