Lowering a 74 Econoline 200?

Lowering a 74 Econoline 200?
I want to lower my van. Any suggestions? It has I beam front and leaf spring rear. I'm guessing shackle reversal in the rear, but the front??? I'd like to know if the same vintage 2wd trucks use the same spindles. I also want to convert the front to disc brakes, the drums scare me!
