My 1973 came with factory air. ...However, I took out the compressor and various hoses. What I am left with it an inaccessible under dash area, that I would like to clean up. I would like to know what things I can completely remove that won't adversely affect anything. (i.e. that large plastic housing on the passenger side under the dash.)
...Anyone need any A/C parts for free, assuming I can get em out?
Oh A\C...How do I need Thee......Let Me Not Sweat--nor Fret for Tis Hot I Be.....Under My Dash You Resided...and Lots of cold Air You Provided .....Why Oh Why Didst I Remove Thee???......fd
At 7.5 MPG, I can't afford A/C. : )
As well, I am a dumb kid, I want all of the power I can get from my little V8. Heh.
(This coming from an Arizona resident...110, anyone?)
Hey Pat,
7.5 mpg ain't so bad. I had a '71 F-350 Camper Special with a 390 that got 6. Loaded, unloaded, climbing mountains. Didn't matter. Always got 6. Of course gas was only $.60/gal.
You could always leave the AC in and only use it when you're not pulling so hard.;-) ;-)
