Which transfer case?
I have a 1974 F-100 with 360 2bbl. 4X4 of course. How can I tell which transfer case I have? It has 4HI, 4LO, and Neutral.It looks like a NP 203 I saw on the Web, but it was in a Chevy. Mine looks upside down compared to it. The rear drive shaft comes out the passenger side of the transfer case.

Yes, I think so. The light in the cab under the dash that says "lock" is always on, unless the transfer is in Neutral. But the truck will not move when in Neutral. If it is a NP203, what type lubricant should I use? The Haynes I have says 50W, but I've seen on sites that 10w-30 or 10w-40 should be used because of the chain drive?
