State Regions

IF.......we recieve site approval to progress with the two regions idea and remain one state chapter, I'll need to gage the member interest to provide the site with proof of the members desires and thoughts, etc.

Vote and express your thoughts in this thread, be fair and be honest.

When I pick a topic, I don't get to choose yes or no. Did I vote for or against?

Il is a long state, I def think there should be a Chicago, Northern IL division and a southern division, and have two seperate people run them and report to each other.

I'm thinking the poll options are kinda confusing...

I do support two or a split chapters.

But, I don't think I would support or attend events in say Shawnee Forest. Just like I wouldn't expect folks down there to support events up here.

I think it is a good idea to split meetings (N & S) to get more involvement. I would like to start making it to some meetings, but I have been trying to find the time.

I apologize I have not yet been able to make a meeting yet...I have been out of town a lot since I have joined.

I definetly support the idea of having two separate IL Chapters. IL is a big state, and it takes a long time to drive from the Chicago area to southern IL, and vice-versa. Also, with gas prices as high as they are, that would be quite an expensive trip! I think we should separate IL into a north(Chicago-area) Chapter, and a southern IL Chapter.

With Bob up North and Steve Down South, the state involvement should be due for more members and expansion and cooperation.

Each of you will make us proud and maintain the Chapter and makes it's future brighter.

Keep this thread going and gather as much input as is possible.

Setting this up will be easy if everyone works together and for a common goal.

Maintaining the full involvement of ALL Illinois Chapter members in two regions can only make us grow.
