just wondering

My neighbor bought a 2001 xlt 150 5.4l. I have a 2000 expy EB 5.4l my cruise control was recalled and I did get the new harness. Told him about the possible problems with the cruise control. His current cruise control deactivation switch looks exactly like my old one. He called the local dealership and they said it was for only the 2000 models. My neighbor tested the switch to see if the wire was hot (current) and it was, and the cruise was off. Does he have anything to worry about? thanks

WOW, what timing. I saw on the news last night that a house burned down, ( 2 days ago) the cause was a ford truck caught fire, the owner said that he parked his 2001 ford 150 in the garage and 4 hours later his house was engulfed with flames.

Saw the same thing, as well as reading about a 96 F150 that burned down a house:

I just called the local dealer about my 2001 screw, it's not on the register yet but they told me call back each week to see if it's been added.

The only 2001's that got the recall were the Supercrews. All other 2001's are OK. The Supercrews are made at a different assembly plant and get their swtiches from a different supplier.
