2003 Expedition master keypad code

just got my code, i read same info in owners manual but your pics were a real big help thanks

Later that night, I found this site on the web when I Googled "2003 Ford Expedition keypad code" and found a thread that said where I could find the master code inside my vehicle.

Since my X was at the dealer at the time, I couldn't look to see if the code was there. So, I asked the service tech (different guy) when I picked my car about the location of the code in the X and he said, "Ford stopped placing them on the box inside their vehicles in 2002." I told him I thought is was ridiculus to charge $40 to retrieve the code, but he just shrugged his shoulders.

Once I got my X home, I found the code a reprogrammed the personal code into the truck via the keypad, as it states in the owner's manual. I wanted to start this thread and post some photos to make it easy for everyone to find and possibly save them some ca$h.

Thank you, ford-trucks.com for saving me $40...and shame on you, METRO Ford!

Hopefully, these will help someone else from being raked over by a Ford dealer asking for an hours labor to look up the code.

I have a 2001 EXPY and I have looked there but my ECM does not look anything like that. Any ideas why the difference and where the code might be?

Earlier models had it on the driver's side instead. It is behind the dash fuse box up high next to the parking brake mechanism.

Thumbs up lost keycode for 2011 explorer

lost my keycode for 2011, googled it and seen you post,i stared to look around under the dash first on passenger side and didnt see it then looked on driver side and what u know there it was up under the brake pedal to the left....THANKS A LOT>> REALL

In my 01 Navigator I found the white sticker with the 5 numbers straight up above the e-brake.

2005 Ford Expediton

Thanks to this site and post I have finally got the code to my expediton. We had the vehicle for about 4 years and never knew the code. Did exactly what the photo showed and there it was right above the fuse box on a pretty white sticker..thanks again everyone

Cha-ching, I'm a new member here and in five minutes of reading I saved myself 40 bucks as well.
Just bought a 2000 Expy at an auto auction. It was a police vehicle. Wires hanging out all over the place. Center console gone, back seat out of it and rear inside door handles are gone...gee I wonder why? Anyhow got a lot to learn and a few things to pick up in order to make this thing whole again.

I bought an 03 and stopped at a Ford dealer today in Spokane, WA to see what I needed to do to get the code. They said, "Schedule an appointment and we'll pull the code off the computer for $40.00."

This must be standard practice.

So glad I looked here first.

I didn't find the code I had 2 break my window to get in my truck I'm not worrying about anymore I'm to buy me a extra key forget it's to much stress!! Especially when u get locked out your truck for two days!!
