I'm working on a 95 F350 that overheats going up a 10% grade in second gear has all new cooling system components. Spits coolant and has no exhaust gas in radiator
Pressure test the radiator cap. Check for leaks at the thermostat housing and hoses. Flush the radiator with fresh coolant. Possibly have the radiator rebuilt (rodded, cleaned) if necessary. Also check that the thermostat is present and working. If it has an auto tranny, an aftermarket tranny oil cooler is a good thing to have too.
Hear goes the list of what has been done. .030 over engine, new radiator, new waterpump, new t-stat, new Ford factory fan clutch, all new heater and rad hoses, new rad cap(16 lb), preasure tested system and cap no leaks, standard 4 speed trans with granny gear (2wd) weighs in at about 15,000 lbs. new fan shrowd. It should work put with all of this it will still get hot. I've been a mechanic for almost 20 years so I'm pretty on top of things, I feel like I'm either missing something of maybe there are some thin spots in the casting of the cylinder walls.??????
