copped top ideas
cutting it will be the easy part, but making a cover for it might take some work. here is some ideas i have so far, weld in some tubes in 2-3 places along the open area wich i could slide an bent pipe into to make like an rib cage. then learn to sew. get some canvas material to fit it over the top cut it to size, cut out two large holes in the side, then get some super thick clear plasic sew them in for windows, and then for the back do the same thing, im not sure what to do with the tailgate area, maby attach an ranger tailgate, or chop the orrigional one and permently attactch it to the back. then use heavy duty snaps to attach the canvas to the truck. some issues i can immage would be watter comming in threw the area where the snaps are attached to the truck....any sugestions there? also would it be legal without adding a roll bar? i would only be chopping the back section. and the last problem i dont know how to sew. what are you ideas and oppions, how can i improve on my idea, or what would you do differnt.

Sounds like a pretty good idea to me. I was thinking of taking the entire top off and make a duplicate out of fiberglass and making a system similar to the Wrangle yeep. It would be a lot of work but I think it would be awesome to be able to remove the top like a yeep but have it look 100% factory. What do the rest of you think?
