true...I hadn't thought along those lines, I was just confused by his posts I guess, Firsts theres been exhaust mods and there is no o2, then he says he has a cat, then the o2 is still there and wired....
Ahem....Let me start by saying that I apologize to EPNCSU2006 for any insults, writen or implied, that he may have felt regarding my other post on this thread. I have just read the post's since mine and it is obvious I missed some crucial information regarding the engine involved, so I jumped the gun with my response and stuck my keyboard in my mouth. I hope you don't hold it against me.
To jimbob21rc I am sorry if I gave you any erroneous information but I don't want to be misquoted either. I said my books told me that the O2 sensor was one of the most important sensors. Then I said that if your truck had single exaust it should, not would, have a single cat. I never said that all trucks with single exaust have single cats. Since you asked, the books I am reading are: Chilton's Ford Full Size Trucks 87-96, Haynes Ford Pick-ups & Bronco 80-96, Ford F-Series Pickup Owners Bible by Moses Ludel, Haynes Ford Engine Overhaul Manual, and Ford Fuel Injection & Electronic Engine Control by Charles O. Probst, SAE.
popa tim, just too straighten things up a bit, i know how it looks when reading the post, at first i didn't think the 02 was there but then i found it, and i always knew that there was only one cat, the other had been cut off for exaust mods, wish they had just left it on and i wouldn't have to worry about it.
