OverDrive On and OFF

OverDrive On and OFF
I got a 2000 Super duty on 37"s with 4.56 gears its got 50000 miles and the overdrive is going in and out its at a plus trans right now just waiting to find out what it is. Just wanted to know if any one has any ideals? it soundss electrical to me fluid looks and smells fine truck runs great and shifts great any ideas let me know thanks

OH what you want to know what it is?
Damn.... OK here is the deal. On many of the 2000-2001 Superduty trucks the shift stem end mounted OD button has a wire inside the stem that chafes and either breaks or shorts out or does both due to vibration.
I bet that is your problem
