A/C Clutch
Has anyone ever replaced the a/c compressor clutch . Mine just started making all kinds of racket like a grinding sound and when the engine is running looks to be running out a bit . This looks as if it could go bang and leave tyou sit on the side of the road . The a/c is still working fine but for how long who knows . Just noisy

I have seen it done up close. You need to know how to shim the clutch properly or the end results looks like what you've got now. If you can get the shims, of course. Most shops will have them left over by chance.

Thanks for the info but I decided to error on the side of caution and just put a remanufactured compressor and clutch on . It was the easiest route to go considering if the clutch siezed up I would be stranded
