Do all 91 f250 ex-cab 4x4's have ABS? My ABS Warning light does not come on with ignition on. Should it? Also Four wheel drive Works fine but without a owners manual I dont know the proper shifting procedure. I have auto trans and manual hubs.
The 91 manual says all F150/250/350 except Super Duty, the REAR ANTILOCK brake warning light should glow momentarily when the ignition is turned on.If it does not glow momentarily have your vehicleselectrical system checked immediately.
Thats straight from the manual.
Shifting: You can shift the transfer case from 2H to 4H while driving,as long as the hubs are locked in.It doesnt give a speed limit in the manual, but I have done it regularly at about 40 MPH.The manual says to shift from 4H to 4L you need to be stopped and in neutral,(I have always performed it that way also). you should be able to order amanual from Ford for about $15.00 but you should do it soon,I have heard that they only print them for 10 years, then they are only available untill the supply runs out.Good luck, with ABS light its probably just a bulb

Hey, if you'll give me a fax #, I'll fax you the pages out of my Mitchell manual on this truck for the ABS system. It is very thorough and easy to understand, and, even includes the schematics. As a matter of fact, the flow charts address this right away. One of these days I'll get a paper scanner so I can e-mail my info. to everyone that wants it.
