ran my codes.. sort of

i made a quick run through of my fault codes tonight... going by the manual that came with the book. (not up to par with this site). got a 67/11 on koeo test. and a 21/77 on the koer test...obviously i didn't goose it..but the book didn't mention it. I find it hard to believe that these are my only problems

The 67 is the park/neutral switch, was it in park (auto) or neutral (manual)?

The 21 is the ECT, was the engine up to temperature?

engine probably wasn't up to temperature... warm.. but not where it is when running for extended time.

as for the transmission... i'm going to guess it was in gear. but couldn't be certain. when i try again... which is worse? in neutral and getting the 67 or in gear and getting the 67 (manual tranny)

The computer expects to see the transmission in neutral during the KOEO test. The fault code is thrown if it looks to the computer like the transmission is in gear. If it's in gear and you get a KOEO 67, repeat the test with the transmission in neutral. If it's in neutral and you get a KOEO 67, then something is wrong in the neutral position switch circuit.
