hood release
Hey guys, I'm new here, nice to see a group just for the best trucks out there (I love my Taurus too).
I have a problem with my 88 F-150 though... the hood release cable has snapped or something, and it won't unlock the hood. To make matters worse, the battery is dead; so my muscle is just sitting in the driveway. I have tried everything I can think of to get this thing to work, but nothing has done anything (it is an anti theft thing, so it's made to be tough I guess). I tried removing the grill but its attatched under the hood somehow. I can feel where the cable pulls the release, but I cant get it to disengage.
Does anyone have any ideas or tips before I have to get it towed?
