Trust me, that has been said, yelled, screamed plenty of times at my house, but now that he has me hooked into off roading with the trucks, I can't yell at him any more because I am just as bad. I figure in all honesty, if we can do the switch, then the truck is worth keeping. It is almost paid off, and I want to get rid of payments. Oh yeah, did I mention I want to put a diesel engine into it too.
There is a kit available for that, but it may give more lift than you're after- iirc, it was in the 8-9" range. A recent issue of Peterson's 4x4 had an article on a 90's Suburban that a guy dropped a cummins diesel into, and looked pretty nice.
The lift I don't mind because trust me, once it is paid for, I am going to wheel the snot out of it & then I CAN put those 35's under it . I just want it to be reliable to get the kids around. Yes, a Cummins.....
