Chapter badge/symbol

Hey folks,
Some of our U.S. counterparts (most notably the rolling hills chapter) have a symbol that they have immortalised in sticker form on their trucks. Would this not be a clever idea for the members of this chapter to do also pending an approved design? This would make a province wide meeting less difficult because we would know who is actually a part of this chapter and we would not have to cruise around a massive parking lot asking everyone with a Ford truck whether or not they are there for a meet. Lets hear some opinions.

Cheers,
Sean

The subject was brought up once before. The problem, if I recall correctly, was finding someone with the necessary computer skills to create the design.
The "Ford Truck Enthusiasts" banner at the top of every page here would be a good start simply because every one of us would recognize it.
Perhaps the outline of the province of Ontario could be under the FTE banner (as in 2 layers) and below that, "Ontario Chapter" in white block letters.
Anybody up to the task?
AL.

I brought this up almost a year ago: https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/s...d.php?t=266680 Nothing really became of it.

OK, so is anyone here capable of creating something on the computer?
I just did a MSN search for a map of Ontario that would come close to just an outline. The best one had lines separating regions, not just an outline.
I wonder if the folks that run FTE might have someone that can do this?
Matt , how about asking the big boss?

I MIGHT be able to figure something out. I have quit my job so I have a lot of free time on my hands. I will maybe look into something tomorrow.

Maybe the first move should be getting permission to use FTE's banner.
My skills are limited to one finger hunt & peck & Excel for my books so, how long would it take to learn some of the artistic programs? Does WindowsXP have one?

All the info you need for creating a logo is in the ClubFTE general chapter & chapter leader forums.

It's better to use the ClubFTE logo without touching or covering anything on it.

You can build your logo around the Club FTE logo

Well I'm glad that some of us are still showing an interest in this topic, but keep in mind that we don't neccesarily need to do designs on the computer. If you can thats great, but I prefer to hand-bomb all of my sketches and drawings. I was also thinking of using the Ontario outline but using just the good ol' blue oval in the centre. That'd be simple enough and pretty much any vinyl shop could cut one out and they wouldn't even have to be big, just 3 or 4 inches or so. Think about it and see what everyone else comes up with.

Cheers,
Sean

I think the blue oval is under copyright protection

How do these look?
Like any of them?
Suggestions?

I can add "Ontario Chapter" or something to them.

These are not the originals... they are much larger.

I think I like the last one best. Maybe if you added something to the province part of it though. Like maybe "Ontario Chapter" or something. I think we also need a Canadian flag somewhere as well. And of course www.ford-trucks.com needs to be somewhere.

VERY good start though. Not much tree work eh?

Another vote for #4.

Can you fit "Ontario Chapter" and "www.ford-trucks.com" inside the outline of Ontario?

I'll do some work on it after work today.

Beast12: I was off around 1:00pm yesterday. It was nice spending the afternoon in the airconditioning. It was 98*-99* here in Wanstead yesterday. (37*C)
