Front lift kit
I would think leveling the truck would be a great option - and allow me to recommend the Edelbrock shocks if you have the cash - though I have have heard a few not-too-enchanted folks out there, I have found them to be excellent at smoothing out the ride in all situations!
How did it effect the handling power? I have the 5.8 engine and currently have the stock 265/75 15 tires.Sorry for all the Questions but I don't want to screw up my truck. My local 4 wheel drive center only recommends going all out or not at all with this truck
Are you JUST gonna be on the highway? If so, lower the truck and get some conservative tires, keep your 3.55 gearing, etc...
See what I mean? I prefer to try to walk the line - have a truck that will crawl, trail, mud, and drive on the dry pavement at highway speeds, tow, and go in the snow...This requires some thought - I took some pics for you and put them on my homepage at http://www.erols.com/sctate (they are towards the bottom of the page and were taken tonight in the dark so they aren't very clear)...
I have a Jacobs Ignition system, a Hypertech Chip, regular Champion Truck plugs, Edelbrock shocks, a 3" Trailmaster lift, with a 5.8L & E4OD...At 50,000 I made sure to change the plugs and flush/replace tranny fluid...I JUST did that last week (JUST got to 50,000)...I will be lowering the gears to 4.10:1 front and rear and will leave the limited slip in the rear to keep it pavement friendly...The Jacobs system, Chip, and Cooling tape on the air intake (see pic on homepage) has me up to 14.5 city MPG (from 12.8), and close to 18 on the highway...
Check out the pics and send any specific ?? to the newsgroup or email me - we have something in common with our trucks - ever think of going ragtop?
