2000 - trnsmission question
My truck has just started making a slight "moaniing" sound associated with the transmission when starting off or at low speeds. Is this a sign of impending doom or perhaps the need for a fluid and filter change? The truck has about 100 K and I am the second owner. I bought it a year ago and have put about 9K miles on it. I have no record of fluid changes.

My 2000 expy 4x4 eb had the same problem but it also made the noise in reverse. If this happens, then your plantary gear may be bad. The plantary gear works for revese and low forward speed.
