4wd lights on
F350 4wd,
After having sat awhile, my 4wd hi and low, lights have come on and won't shut off.
After doing a site search for similar problems, I figured the connector may be dirty, or the transfer case switch may be bad.
I removed the connector from the plastic switch on the transfer case, and cleaned it, but that did not fix the problem. Oddly, the 4wd hi and low, lights remain lit even with the connector removed.
I figured the transfer case switch may have gone bad, and removed the plastic housing for the switch, but the switch itself does not budge.
Is there a trick to removing it?
Any suggestions as to a fix for my malfunctioning?

OK, I kept messing with it, still can't figure how the switch comes out, but the lights went off.
Now they are off except when I first start the truck. Only they do not come on when I flip the switch to 4 wd hi, or low.
I am figuring a bad transfer-case switch.
