Carberator for 300

I put a rebuilt 300 in my 84 F150 last year and have been pretty happy with it except for the carb. I pulled the original and replaced it with a rebuilt, twice. It's a one barrel.

I still think I've got a piece of junk. Does anyone know of an aftermarket carb that'll work well. I don't mind spending a few bucks to get this running the way I think it should.

Carberator for 300

"Holley" makes a 350 CFM 2-barrel with a Ford auto trans kick down linkage. I'm not sure how the carb will adapt to your manifold though. They sell for around $260 mail order.

Carberator for 300

If your willing to spend a few more bucks, J.C. Whitney has a carburetor/manifold kit. It consists of a Holley 4bbl. carb, an intake for the 4bbl., and a matched exhaust manifold. If you have a 4x4 or just want to get that Inline six low-end torque moving fast, this will do the trick. The kit was around $550.00
