Well i still have to get my dad's laptop sometime to get the sound clips. I haven't forgot.
I had to go to pick up a part for my mom's truck on monday(she hit a deer) so i volunteered to help my parents out and go pick it up.
Well the truck sounds like a Straitpiped semi. All last year i averaged 12-14mpg. This week i drove 155 miles including the 100 to go get the part. I averaged 19.6mpg. doing between 50-55mph 55@2500RPM
doubt it. I was stunned when i filled it up today and it only took around 8 gallons. My gas guage is messed up below 3/4.
Hope your not being sarcastic. But i do notice a more low end. The muffler blew a hole in it one day on my way to school. So i guess it was restictive.
dt 466man, i asked a guy at the muffler shop yesterday about 3in pipe for my I6 and he nearly had a cow. he said it was too exssesive and I would loose power. what have you noticed with your setup and if you have lost anything what have you done to compensate?
I haven't lost any thing. It seems to have more low RPM torque and it accerlerates better. The power band seems to be the same with more power all around.
It didn't have a cat there was a 2 1/4" piece of pipe inplace of the cat. I hooked it up to that using a 2 1/4" -2.5" adapter and made a 2.5"-3" adapter. i have some pictures in my gallery of the exhaust installed and the adapter.
