Just installed the SCMT. Very happy with the truck power on the performance setting. Now back to the real reason I purchased the tuner (MPG). I have a 04 ext. cab 4x4. Set the tuner to economy mode and took a long highway trip. I averaged 17.4 MPG with the air on the whole trip in 85 to 90 deg weather. No towing just the wife, 2 rugrats and some luggage. How do these numbers sound ? The trip was literally 99% highway.
I know that no one will believe me but with my superchip micro tuner I get 22.5 mpg in my 03 6.0 cc fx4 f250 in the eco mode. Before the tuner I was geting 18.
22.5 is an adverage over around 3000 highway driven miles. I have seen as good as 26 and as low as 17 sence the tuner, but 22.5 is my adverage.
good luck with your truck, I know that I am one of the lucky ones no problems with 54000 miles, wouldn't trake it for the world!!
Sounds like he's reading the lie O-meter not the actual, I too can make my overhead meter read 20-22 with my attitude but actual is far from it, Don't laugh but I had one guy tell me he was getting 26 on his overhead, after looking at the meter I explainned the meaning of metric's. He still didn't understand.
in new jersey i wish it was 4 leged like we all want in season. this no good state up to 20 mph over is 4 points on your dl. over that is 6 points. 12 points and you walk home. in the few 65 mph zones we have if your caught over the limit the fines and points are doubled.

Is that mpg true - are you calculating by hand or reading the mpg thingy above? Would love to know the truth...
