I was wondering what is the average mileage people put on their trucks here, I got my license 3 weeks ago and have driven 2100 miles, and was wondering if that is average, above or below?

I probably average around 100 or so a week. Most of it is from boredom though. Just casual joy riding in the evenings. But still....700 miles...geesh.....

LAST EDITED ON 25-Aug-01 AT 06:54 PM (EST)[p]720-840 miles per week. 120 round trip 6-7 times a week plus all aditional running with 2 teen aged girls. From between 9 and 11 mpg. Yeah well, what can I say?
It's a pieceof**** FORD!
around 600 during week and at least 100 on weekends but normally 300, my wife was doing 200 a day for 6 days a week at her old job, put 60k on her new volvo since got it in november 2000,
luckily she got a new gig and only goes about 25 a day now.
i think im a lil above average i live out in the sticks 22 miles one way to town so add that up with the miles i drive in town average about 5-600 per week
I don't drive for a living, but I do spend a lot of time traveling around the south east for my job, visiting job sites. I don't start working until I get there. For the last four years I averaged slightly over 1000 miles a week. This year, for the first six months (26 weeks) I did 44,000 miles. Fun, huh?
Right now we have about a 12 mile one way trip to work. My girlfreind and I carpool because she only works 3 minutes away from me. After we move in a couple of weeks it will increase to a 60 to 70 mile one way trip into the cities. 10 miles of that is just getting to the main freeway from the backroads!!
People who say it can't be done should not interrupt the person doing it.
lol i'd like to drive more, but CT is a small state and I've only lived here a year so i don't know my way around that much. My job is about 3 miles away so that's not too bad. I always take the long way though, i just love driving. But i don't like 11 mpg around town I prefer highway driving, i get a lot better gas mileage and the truck seems to like it more. Most of my driving is just for pleasure and I've averaged 7 hundred miles a week for the past three weeks.
With gas prices the way they are, I drive my F250 supercab long bed 4x4 460 as little as possible. Over the past 5 years of ownership I have driven my truck about 30,000 miles, so that is 6,000 per year average, but in reality I probably have put only 3-4K on it on average over the past 3 years.
For reference, I have at times averaged 24K per year, occasionaly hitting 2,500 in a week on business trips. Now I average about 15K a year on my car, mostly commuting.
