My torque converter will occasionally lock up while stopped at a light or when backing out of the drive way in the morning. It is more likely to happen when the engine is cold. When the truck is accelerated to 45 - 50 mph and held at a steady speed for a few seconds the converter locks up like it was hit with a hammer.
The solenoid fixed the torque converter lock up problem.
The truck also had a problem with hesitation or stumbling for the first 30-50 feet and the steering wheel would shake after hitting a bump. The dealer fixed both problems plus a few other small gripes.
I was really impressed with World Ford's service department.
