After market MAS sensor

Is a after market MAS sensor a good product to use for better performance?

Also what size throttle bodies are on the Nascar trucks and which size would be suggested for greater performance?

The only mod's so far is a MAC air intake. Hopefully in the next couple of weeks I will be changing the exhaust from headers to tip.

Thanks in advance!

I put a Granatelli MAF on my vette simply because it had a slightly larger inside diameter, and had no protective screen. Performance wise I couldn't tell you, because I did several mods at the same time.

As for the TB. It is not needed to go to a bigger TB unless there has been more substantial work done to the engine. Ford engineers already know what the best flow for your truck is. If you plan to do heads, cam, intake, exhaust etc, then a bigger TB might be for you. But if not what you have is what you need.

Oh...and NASCAR trucks are carbureted, not TB/ injected.

i believe that the nascar f150 has the same tb as other f150s. the stock tb is at 70mm. i upgraded my stock tb to a 75mm tb. it add a good deal more top end power. it really add the power at about 2800 rpm to redline. if you get a larger tb. just be sure that you port match the elbow. ted98 has a lot of info on what to do and how to do it.

as for the maf. i got a stock 90mm maf. if you use a stock 90mm maf. you will have to get a chip or reflash the ecm. the stock 90mm is for 42lb injectors. these trucks have 19lb stock. i have not had the time to get my truck a dyno to get a final tune on my chip. i hope the final tune will really wake my truck up.

Are you saying that the stock MAF is 90mm? If so, do the injectors restrict the max power available?
