No power to fuel system

hi my 1988 f 150 351w auto stalled out yesterday now i find its not getting power to the fuel system.... need help to fix this...

Check the fuel relay under the hood, and check for shorts under the dash behind the tank selector switch all the way to inertia box.

My front fuel lift pump shorted out in my 87 F250 and melted some wiring between those places. It was also cutting power to the fuel pumps.

my 88 did the same thing, got wet and it died. went through the whole system, couldnt find the problem. finally just took a wire and hooked it up to the ignition so it was hot when the key was on, ran it to a switch and down to the pumps. about a week agout i saw the same exact problem a guy was haveing with a 87 with a 351 and he did the same thing. great minds think alike, but so do retards. if you dont figure it out might try that.
