Drop in bed liner over line-x

Does anyone know of a good drop in bed liner? I was looking at one that is like a 5 piece modular design that has the hard rigid plastic on the sides and front of the bed, then has the rubber bed mat on the floor and tailgate. anyone know anything about those?

I would go with line-x, but since my truck is commercially used, there is only a short warrenty for the line-x.

Thanks,
-Kevin

That's odd. Most of them have a lifetime warranty. Even the cheaper companies I've seen have a 5 year. Even so, you are a lot less likely to have problems with the spray in vs. a drop in. If you have to replace the drop in once, it will equal the cost of your spray in.

all of the warranties state specifically that they do not cover commercial vehicles.

Even without, I would be more inclinded to go with the spray in. But, everybody has their personal preferences. I have just had great luck with my spray-ins.

I had a Rino liner sprayed in my truck. It is used commercially, however they don't need to know that. Just tell them it's a farm vehicle or something. That's what I did. I've already had a tear patched by warrenty.

Would do that, but it is hard to do when the company name is written on the side of the truck.

What an honest group of Ford Truck Owners! he-he
I hear ya though!
IMO from my experience-spray in is the way to go even if not warrantied. Drop in liners cause more damage than prevented.

Drop in bed liners trap water between the liner and the metal bed causing rust, a buddy of mine found that out the hardway. I would go with the spray in and pay for any touch ups as needed.

My last truck had the bed mat, it was always crusty underneath it! New truck has spray-in.

the drop in bedliner is what i elected for.. they prevent DENTS and serious damage... spray in bedliners protect from scratches and rust.... no body can see in my bed, id rather keep it dentless then worry about scratches.. in Texas, rust is no issue.. both would be the best of both worlds.... Scratches in paint is an easy fix.. large dents or weathered spray in is not....

Drop in

Not debating that the spray in and even the mats help to keep cargo from sliding. However, I'm looking for something that will help me slide things out the back when the tailgate's down.

The pieces of my toy are nearly as wide as the wheelwell and weigh nearly 500# each. I need to be able to slide them to the tailgate (replaced by a hydraulic lift); maybe with a little help from my friends.

I'm just glad I have my company name written on my new 18' Wells Cargo landscape trailer.

That was not mentioned to me at all, I will have to check my paperwork. Thankfully, I use magnetic signs.
