question about exhaust.
I have a 2005 6.0. Looking at the MBRP turbo back exhaust. Is the stock cat used with that exhaust or does it come with a high flow cat? I noticed that a cat delete pipe can be bought seperate and saw pictures of the exhaust where it looks as if a cat is used with the system. I had a 2003 6.0 with a turbo back system on it made by Diesel Performance Parts. It didnt use a cat and only substitute pipe for it was a straight pipe for the muffler. Have the systems been updated somewhat now that this engine is a little older and they have better knowledge of it?

The MBRP system are built to allow the stock cat to bolt in place, it keeps Ford warranty happy and also the EPA etc. We do have a cat test pipe for off road use or racing that bolts into place of the cat as an option. Give us a call and we will be glad to help you with any questions etc. We have the systems in aluminized, 409 and 304 stainless as well as in duals or singles etc.
