Tranny upgrades?

I just bought my first X, a 2002 7.3 psd limited. I plan on doing a fair amount of towing with with it. I will be towing a 24' box with a race car. I already have the tow package but I am wondering what upgrades are available for longer tranny life. I have heard of an oversized pan that allows for more fluid but I have not seen anything here when I did my searches. What is available?

there is an oversized pan that adds about 3 qts capacity to the standard 14 quart system. I've been told that the most important thing is to add an auxilary tranny cooler. but I've also been told by a shop that does alot of powerstroke tranny rebuilds that the factory in-radiator cooling system is fine, as long as you improve the intake with an aftermarket open air intake and run a straight pipe exhaust ( either no muffler or an upgraded aftermarket one as the factorymuff is very restrictive) then you shouldn't have probs leaving the factory tranny in place. You could add a tranny temp guage easily if you wanted to monitor the temps while towing.

I'm running Mobile One synthetic tranny fluid in mine and have 118K miles on the X. no problems but don't tow, just run along the higways of TX at 70 - 80 MPH for 2-3 hours a day.
