i have one and took it off.it makes too much noise all the time even casual driving.i even got the lower air duct tube.tell me what you need. also i'd like to sell it.
Thanks for replying. I think I'm going to return it. Are there two tubes or one, i only have one tube that connects to the box with the air filter. i have another piece that looks like a strap, they call it a sleeve. Did you feel any difference in your truck when you had it on?

i almost buy one, should i buy a K&N intake, im worried about the noise you said..
I am going to get a Granatelli Performance Intake & MAF Sensor. It's enclosed like the Volant, but I have read good things about them...... Also, it's the same company that makes the Diablo Predator Tuner, so it makes sense that the tuner, intake and mass air flow sensor would mate well together.... along with a Magnaflow Cat-Back exhaust......
You should have (1) INTAKE FILTER BOX, (1) AIR DUCT, (1) 3 1/2" BY 2 1/4" SLEEVE, (1) 4" BY 3" HUMP HOSE, (2) #64 CLAMPS, (2) #56 CLAMPS, (1) 1/2" BY 17" BREATHER HOSE, and multiple bolts, washers, and nuts.
From my experience with Volant, I will not recommend their products or service. It took me forever, almost ONE FULL YEAR, to get the right kit and get all my questions answered about the 5.4L kit. Daniel in Tech Support is not good at returning calls or solving problems. Luckily I only spent $240 on my kit. The old kit worked better than the new redesigned kit, but it caused the check engine light to illuminate during cold weather.
The fit is very tight, especially at the back side of the engine. I don't know how well the plastic tube will hold up either, mine was fabricated poorly and it already has a weak or soft spot in it near the intake box.
