Mildew Smelling A/C
04 E-350 15 pass van has a meldew smell when using the max a/c. kinda smells like wet cement after a rain. anyways, a friend of mine told me to spray some disenfectant in to the air circulation intake area between the hood and the windshield. well this took the smell away for about a day, it is back again. I want to get rid of it forever... Any suggestions?

I've found Ozium to work really well for this. Turn the a/c to max (recirculate) and spray into the intake uder the dash. Give another good spray in the air before closing the door and letting it run a few minutes. The food source (dust/hair and the like) of the smell is still there though, so this will need repeating once in a while. I usually do this when I vacuum/clean the interior once a month or so.
Turning off the A/C a few minutes before it's parked will help dry out the evaporator and stop some of the source of the smell (that's what I hear anyway).
Bleach sure seems like it would work. What ratio?
