So what temps are people seeing these days, with stock set ups? Just curious how big of a diffence my after market cooler is making, during the summer months empty. I already know towing it makes a huge difference
I notice that my trans temp gauge on the cluster never moves. After barely 5 minutes of driving it says that the temps are at their normal operating temps. At this time, my aftermarket gauge hasn't even hit 100*'s yet. I've seen the aftermarket gauge go up to 170*'s and the stock gauge hasn't even budged. So quite possibly it all depends on where the sensor is located.
That's weird, as you can watch my Father's '03 T gauge move when you nail the throttle when you have his 30' goosneck flatbed hooked up and going up a good hill. Or atleast I thought it moved....
I wonder if it's setup a lot like the wonderfull oil pressure guage that we have on our trucks?

My numbers in my first post was when the ambient temp was 95F.
