I was wanting to get a Diablosport Predator for my new '03 Expy 4.6l, but after speaking to a Diablosport rep I find out that they do not make one for the '03. Something about Ford changing computers that year, but appearantly only for the Expedition, because the '03 F-150 4.6l is supported. What a crock!
So, my questions are:
-Who does make a tuner for '03 Expy and is it worth it?
-Has anyone tuned their '03 Expedition with the Predator and the Diablosport guy was just mistaken?
-What are my tuning options for this truck?
I had good experience with the Predator tune in my '02 SVT Focus and wanted to stick with what I know works, but this kinda blows! Thanks in advance for any/all advice!
O.K. which is better? I know the Superchips does all the tuning stuff like shift points, pressure, gear ratio, etc. but produces basically no gains on regular gas.
How about the SCT, I do not know too much about the Xcal2, does it allow the same basic tuning options and does it produce any power gains on regular gas?
SCT does all that as well, plus you can upload tunes from your computer (ie, we can give you more tunes via email or on CD-ROM). Yes, I can make a tune to produce power on 87 octane, at the expense of mileage. Or a mileage tune at the expense of power. Or, I've worked out "dual tunes".... mileage at part throttle, power at wide open throttle.
Can I get one of each and use them at my leisure? Ideally, I'd want a milage 87 octane tune, a dual tune and a full-on power 91+ octane tune. Is that doable?
