Tow with Diablo tune?

I have the Superchips. On the high octane tune, it want's to be sure you are not towing.
There is a towing low octane, of course.
I sure wouldn't, unless it was a light amount. Towing a 1200 pound jet ski and trailer, sure. A travel trailer? No way.
I do know some of the tuners have a high octane tow option, but I think it would offer that when you were setting it up.

There is towing, and there is Towing.
I'm careful on towing information, (I spend a lot of time on that in an RV forum) as I have NEVER heard a salesman of any product tell a customer that he couldn't tow with it... I have stood there as people were told their half ton could tow a 20,000 lb trailer 'no problem'. I've heard the truck salesman assure people that their truck would tow five, six times it's legal weight, just sign here.
Heck, they sell Motorhomes that are seriously over the legal weight limit, right from the dealership, nothing in it!
So anyway, can you find any documentation on towing with the Diablo on high performance tune? That would sure be helpful. My Superchips warns not to tow with it in several places.

You can tow with a Diablo on the premium setting.
You can tow with the Superchips with premium. It has a premium tune setting specifically for towing over 4000 lbs, and a premium tune not to be used for over 4000lbs. Check out their application guide
The thing with towing is the higher the load the more likely you are to get spark knock, especially on hot days. Superchips has a tune made to address this. With the Diablo, if you get spark knock go into the custom settings and back off timing just a bit.
