touch up paint

I'm planning on painting bondo spots on my 90 f-150 with the touch up paint you can buy at napa. I work at Ace so i get a really good deal on oil based primer. The automotive paint is laquer based. Will the auto paint stick to the primer, or should i just spend some money and get laquer based primer.

Bodo, to make it all match and look right you really need to paint the entier vehicle. With the bleaching effects of the sun the new spots will be much more vibrant and colorfull than the rest of the truck.

pfogle is right. You will see the new paint. I didn't think anybody was still using laquer. If you want to touch it up, test all the paints in an area that you don't see much. Some paints just don't go well over others.

i painted the back part of the box, just the very bottom 4 inches. it matches ok, but blends in well when entire spot has been waxed. it's a plow truck, i'm just trying to cover rust. Anything looks better than rust
