Turbo Noise?

Just got back from puling my 8300k 5th wheel from Texas to Colorado. Noticed a strange noise. I sounds like a something opening and a higher sound on the turbo. I have the Edge moniter and did not notice any change in boost and this would cycle on and of on flat grades and on inclines. This sound has happened before without pulling anything and the dealership could not find anything.

Probably turbo stall. Lot's of options from cheap to expensive. Suggest doing a search on the subject.

Thanks Kwik I will.
Would I have had turbo stall with no load just normal driving (no WOT) from stops and slow acceleration? Also would there be no change in boost what so ever. The sound would appear and disappear and the boost would be the same and were talking its at say 9.8 before the soun and 9.8 when the sound appears.

Ok. So is it just the fan engaging and is normal or do I have a problem.

Thanks
John

It's probably working fine, when it fully engages you will hear a roaring noise that sounds a lot like a large shop fan.
