i took my truck in for a intermintant no turbo boost at highway speeds while at WOT, the tech said this was happening because of my aftermarket downpipe i had a slight gap between that and my turbo....BS.....so they said that they would fix it in an hour, hour later tehy call and say "hey it will be about 2 more hours, we have to make some cuts in the pipe to make it fit right" after a total of 5 hours of work i come in the next day to pick up to find my exhaust hacked up and only the downpipe left...and with a $676 labor fee
First off, I'm sorry you had to vent here. We don't need dealers doing this sort of thing to us.
So, who's the dealership? Where?
Did you sign a consent form for them to perform maintenance? Do you have the original exhaust? Is the dealership service manager aware/assisting with the correct solution?
the dealership this happened at was accualy in the bay area shamrock ford in dublin cali, only because i couldnt get good service at pioneer ford west here in the valley of phx..the name is because my truck has been a pain in the ***...iv had it in the shop 6 times in 2 months for the same thing listed above, but i love it, but im never going to buy a ford again
most likly not....i think my problem is either a bad exhaust pressure sensor or my egr....iv been on mitchell on demand and got how to test those things but i havnt been able to get to it yet...why r they recalling the wiring harness?
Yes, frankly I am getting tired of hearing it myself. We have enough "mod" police around here throwing out comments, I guess we have one more member to add to the squad.
I've been back actively posting for less than a week and I'm already sick of it again.
just to add...my dad has the truck in california right now, and ford told him that i do have a bad egr and exhaust back pressure sensor, and a bad ebt (whats that?)...but since they are not throwing coeds they can not change them
All vehicles need service. Since you've had the truck in the shop (the same shop?) six times in two months for the same issue, then you have had service techs working on your Ford that are not competent to repair it.
It's been stated many times in this forum, and another I used to frequent, that if a service dept. is not providing service, find another service dept. and speak to their Service Manager about the issues you've had and the related facts.
You never answered my question about the Service Manager, you just keep blaming your truck for their apparent poor service.
Best of luck to you!

Well, tell them you use your truck to pick up coeds, not throw them. Sorry, couldn't resist.
They need codes to replace bad components? Doesn't sound right to me. They can test each component and validate if it's operating within spec. If it isnt' it should be replaced, codes or no codes.
Super Duties will pick up co-eds? My wife ain't gonna like that. I think I would rather pick up the co's as opposed to the ed's. If you know what I mean.
