'fenders is checking out for a while.
I’m heading to the Middle-East real soon so I’ll be checking off the forum for a good while guys. Just wanted to let my many good friends here know why I disappeared. I’m not 19 anymore and I found a mission my lousy back can probably handle, and it’s also my last chance to deploy with friends. So I volunteered. If I can survive the deployment physical this weekend, I should be good to go. It’s about a 14 month assignment with 12 months in country. This is not a goodbye though. You’re not getting off that easy. We did a site recon last week and the internet connectivity is real good. I’ll be back on the forum early this fall after we settle in. I’m leaving for a training station in less than a month. Which is WAY sooner than planned. Those of you in the military know you aren’t supposed to volunteer for stuff, because it’s never quite what you expect. It was a tough decision. Anyway, I need to spend most of my remaining time with the family, so I’ll only be on forum a little before I leave. You guys take care.

I salute your patriotism and wish you the best over there! I have kin over there and internet access seems to be universal, but only for limited times. Hope you can check in once in a while!
