Atten: Moe or Slik
I have a 1984 F-150 with a 302, AOD Metric trans. I want to replace the engine with a 351W. Can you give me a quick run down on the mismatches I will encounter? Like the timing cover, intake man, exaust man, distributor, bell housing etc. I have done engine swaps before but i would like to be a little more prepared this time around. Thanks.

I'm not sure what an AOD Metric is, but the bell housings should match. The measurement between the top two bolts on your housing should measure 5 1/4". I think you will need, new harmonic balancer, new flex plate (rebalanced), new timing cover, new intake, don't know about exhaust, and I think you will need a different oil pan. You can use the rest of your front mounted accessories (Alt, A/C, power steering, etc.) with the purchase of an adapter from Ford. Everything else should bolt right up!
