Well I thought i'd shout my 2cents in. Oven cleaner works great. Used it on all the trim on my truck did a wonder full job. My dad has been using it to clean aluminum for a long time.
Just be careful it will burn the heck outta ya.

How about a section of plastic rain gutter with end caps. I have not tried it but it is just a thought that came to mind.

I used oven cleaner and a garden hose too. I want try the other chemical and thats a good idea for using the pvc
