water problem

ok where are the most common places on a 390 where water will enter the crankcase i dont want to pull the heads unless i have to.

any help or info is needed

Usually from a blown head gasket, cracked head or block. If you just had an intake off it is possible to have a leak there.

well i have not opend it up yet i just got the truck for free and the oil looks like milk so i know water got in im hoping its not the head but it probably will be i will be digging into it this next week. thanks for the reply

i bet its a gasket, most likely the intake gasket gave out before.

I just had that problem with my newly rebuilt 390... after alot of new oil and filters i pulled the intake and there was pitting around the water jackets. My local engine builder told me it was to bad to mill so i just bought some high temp copper sealer and ran a bead around the jackets... so far no leaks. I would start there before i pull the heads. Good luck!!!
