CLASSIC Auto Trader
Does anyone buy this thing? There sure seem to be lots of expen$ive vehicles in there. It seems like any fastback Mustangs (69/70), E-bodied Mopars w/big blocks, first gen Camaros, and Chevelles are all gone outrageous as far as price goes. Some are starting to get into the range that the hemis were about 5 years ago. 429 Cobra Jet Mustangs are also untouchable. Now the tricky part is convincing my banker that buying a bunch of these will do nothing but make us money.
Do you guys think this trend will continue and will it eventually pull the prices up on newer stuff like big block TransAms / Formula Firebirds like the 74-76 models which still appear to be not too crazy as far as price goes? These cars (IMHO) are still pretty awesome --> big block power (once de-smogged they make ok power), handle pretty good, fit my big stature (ask Fomoko) extremely well (even with seat right back to make room for my torque curve, I can still reach clutch very nicely). These were fitted with a drivetrain that could live behind big block power, had a factory Hurst shifter, and were truly the last big block muscle cars made (not all that muscular w/emission controls but still big potential).
What was that --> did someone mention this is a FORD enthusiast website?

[QUOTE=LaredoF350]Does anyone buy this thing? ]My good neigbour brings it to me because I do their snow removal at no charge. some of the prices are nutz. The high prices happened in the 80`s when investers bought vintage vehicles and drove the prices so high so they had to come down. They came down hard and fast so the perpetraters got burned, what a shame! Yes this is a FORD site, most are some what open minded, I am some what challenged in this reguard but do the best I can.
